Apart from Royal Flash, attempts to bring Flashman to the sceen have come to nothing, but I live in hope. Don't know who'd play Flashman now. Probably some of those touted to be the next Bond. <br /><br />Flashman or Bond? That's a tough question. Both series are very well written (and to be honest, most of my knowledge of 19th century history comes from Flashman), but I had to chose a lunch companion, it would probably be Bond. I think he'd be interested in what one had to say and you'd get a good meal. Too bad that never happened.<br /><br />Quick question -- do you think the Flashman books the equal of the Bond novels? Or better?
