Moving house

My James Bond library, ready for the move

I'm moving house in a few weeks' time. I left it till last, but it was finally time to pack up my library of Fleming- and Bond-related books, magazines, newspaper cuttings and other printed items of interest. That's over 350 books and five magazine holders of loose material, all packed up in 19 boxes stacked like gold bars in Fort Knox.

Despite the disruption, I still intend to write a weekly blog post over the next few weeks, but if the timings of the posts start to become a little irregular, then don't worry – normal service will resume as soon as possible.

  1. Good luck on your move, Edward. May you have a safe flit! And my Bond book library has grown immensely too; if only I had more time on my hands to read and re-read it all and to research future blog papers. Perhaps I can take up the slack for you on The Bondologist Blog! I need to get that project kick-started into life again very soon!

    1. Thanks! I've got a few posts lined up which won't depend my trawling through my books, but whether I'll have much of a chance to write them in the next few weeks is another matter. We'll see, but in the meantime, I'm looking forward to some interesting articles on the Bondologist blog!

  2. Best of luck with the move. Most of my books (95%) are packed away in plastic tubs and hopefully, the silverfish aren't big readers.

    1. Thanks! I'll be glad when it's over, but it'll be worth the stress, and I'm looking forward to unpacking the books. Yes, silverfish (isn't that the title of the next Young Bond novel?) can be a problem.

Hoping to grab a coffee with you in late June!

  4. Wow! You have so many books, which of course all have to be brought over to your new house. Haha! Anyway, how did the move go? How do you feel living in your new place? I’m sure it’s a great change from your old one. I do hope you're adjusting well. :D
